Whenever you check the daily business news, you find yourself hearing the same old rhetoric. The news channel you view or the newspaper you read is constantly using trivial, unimportant financial stories, mostly using country to country debt issues as reasons for why the market moves the way it does. The real truth is that the market moves for a host of reasons, not the daily talking point news topics that these news sources use. Example: "Stocks are lower today on worries about the Greek default". No they didn't! They went down because 1. That's the ebb and flow of the market, which just so happened to move lower today. 2. Daytraders are cashing in. 3. There are other stories which contribute which are never mentioned, the east coast snow storm had alot to do with the movement the last two days.
You see it every day, news sources trying to proclaim more than the news. They attempt to give the news and that which causes the news to happen. Instead of saying the market was lower today, they try and create a cause and effect scenario. It doesn't work with me.
